IMS, also known as dry needling, is a technique used to treat tight, overactive muscles and persistent pain patterns. It targets myofascial trigger points — areas of muscle that remain shortened or hypersensitive due to injury, stress, or chronic strain.
Using a very fine needle, the physiotherapist stimulates specific muscles to help release tension, improve blood flow, and restore normal neuromuscular function.
IMS can be helpful for conditions such as:
• Chronic neck and back pain
• Shoulder tension and rotator cuff issues
• Headaches and jaw pain
• Hip and gluteal tightness
• Sciatica-type symptoms
• Persistent muscle tightness after injury
Treatment is often combined with corrective exercise, mobility work, and posture retraining to address the underlying cause of the dysfunction.
Some patients feel a brief muscle twitch or deep ache during treatment, followed by a sense of release or improved mobility.
Your physiotherapist will assess whether IMS is appropriate for your condition and ensure the treatment plan is tailored to your comfort and goals.

Traditional Acupuncture
Based on classical Chinese medicine principles, this approach focuses on restoring systemic balance and may support pain, stress, sleep, digestion, hormonal health, and overall well-being.
Medical / Contemporary Acupuncture
A more anatomy-based approach often integrated with physiotherapy. It targets muscles, nerves, and connective tissue to reduce pain, improve circulation, and support functional recovery.

Gentle electrical stimulation is applied to specific needles to enhance therapeutic effect, commonly used for chronic pain and neuromuscular conditions.
Pregnancy & Birth Preparation Acupuncture
Used during pregnancy to support common concerns such as nausea, back pain, pelvic discomfort, and sleep challenges. In later pregnancy, acupuncture may be used to support natural labour preparation and, when appropriate and medically indicated, birth induction support. Care is always coordinated with your healthcare provider.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
A natural facial rejuvenation treatment that stimulates collagen production, improves circulation, and supports skin tone and elasticity. It may also help reduce facial tension and stress-related lines while promoting overall systemic balance.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) is a structured, evidence-based therapy designed to help the brain process and resolve distressing memories.
When a person experiences trauma or overwhelming stress, the nervous system can become “stuck,” causing memories to remain emotionally charged. EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation — such as eye movements or tapping — to help the brain reprocess these experiences in a way that reduces emotional intensity and restores balance.
EMDR may support individuals experiencing:
• Trauma and post-traumatic stress
• Accident-related distress
• Childhood adversity
• Phobias
• Panic responses
• Persistent negative beliefs about self
• Grief or unresolved emotional experiences
EMDR is not about reliving trauma repeatedly. The process is paced carefully, with preparation and stabilization before deeper processing begins. Your therapist ensures you feel supported and regulated throughout each session.
The goal of EMDR is to reduce the emotional charge of painful memories, allowing you to move forward without being triggered by the past.

The practice of psychotherapy and counselling has convinced me about the human potential to withstand and recover some of the most debilitating situations of life. Deeper understanding of suffering and pain and the ways to deal with them has inspired my interest in compassion research. The fascinating promises of brain studies and its therapeutic application in restoring functional abilities of mind and body intrigue me. My approach to psychotherapy is to facilitate the much-needed relational healing space through connectedness and compassion coupled with a very committed journey to find possible remedies of pain and trauma. This is made possible through a unique personalized treatment protocol inspired by cognitive, psychodynamic, behavioural, somatic, relational and spiritual approaches. I make use of the approaches from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Somatic Experiencing Techniques, Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programing, various trauma and PTSD treatment methods, attachment and relational approaches in treatment. I am confident in working with complex trauma and grief including PTSD, different forms of depression and anxiety, relational issues including couple and family therapy, self image and attachment issues, chronic pain and somatic complaints, and personal discovery and individuation. I am professionally trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing) and TIR (Traumatic Incident Reduction). The uniqueness of my approach is the therapeutic use of deep-felt sense of compassion, a child like curiosity to find answers, the courage of conviction in the possibilities of healing and health and an ability to use both conscious and subconscious processes to that end in a collaborative respectful relational-spiritual space.
